Malta Permanent Residency Program

Malta, a southernly European Union member, offers one of the world’s most attractive Permanent Residence programs.

Individuals are only required to maintain their investment for the first 5 years of their Permanent Resident status.

Applicants are presented with two distinct choices for their investment:

  1. Contributing €68,000 for property purchase in South Malta (minimum value of €300,000) or €350,000 in other areas.
  2. Alternatively, contributing €98,000 for renting a residential property in South Malta/Gozo (minimum annual lease of €10,000) or €12,000 in other regions of the country.

Ease of Travel

Holders of a Maltese Permanent Resident card can freely move around Malta, all other European Union and Schengen Zone members.

PERMANENT RESIDENCE CRITERIA

  • Two investment options are available to applicants. For either choice, applicants have the flexibility to include parents or grandparents for an additional contribution fee of €7,500 each.
  • Both options also come with a compulsory €2,000 charity donation.
  • The main applicant must provide evidence of having capital assets of not less than €500,000, with a minimum of €150,000 available in liquid assets.
  • An applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a clean criminal record.
  • The applicant can either purchase or lease property.

    Applicants must submit their application and any necessary supporting documents to the Residency Malta Agency (RMA).

  • COLLECT YOUR MALTESE RESIDENCE CERTIFICATE

    Individuals can receive their Maltese Residence Certificate should they satisfy all requirements.
